From 8 July, the South Western Railway has decided to attach three AC trains to Vistadome (glass top).The reservation starts on July 3rd and the fare is the same as the Shatabdi Executive Class. The route to Mangaluru from Yeswantpur (413Km) costs Rs 1,470.It was to be active from 15 March 2021, but owing to the Covid situation, it was postponed.
LED lighting, GPS-based data system, microwave and small refrigerator will be provided by Vistadome coaches that are linked to the current trains.Furthermore, the view from outside will be improved for passengers with Vistadome coaches, clear ceilings, large glass panel systems and 180-degree rotating learners.
Passengers on these tri-weekly daily trains and one weekly train between Bengaluru and Mangalore will be able to take in the natural splendor of the Western Ghats.The beauty of the ghats will be witnessed either via the windows or through the coach doors as the train passes the ghat stretch between Sakleshpur and Subrahmanya Road Stations.
The statement here says the three weekly special Vistadome coaches will be delivered from Yeshwanpur, 7th July and Mangalore Junction, 8th July by train No 06211/06212 Yeshwanpur-Karwar-Yeshwantpur. Services have been temporarily cancelled between Mangalore Junction and Karwar. The coaches of this train number will be sent from 8 July to Yeshwantpur-Mangaluru and from 9 July from Mangalore Junction on train no 06575/06576 Yeshwantpur-Mangshwan-Pur tri-weekly special (Gomateshwara Express). Train 06539/06540 Yeshwantpur-Mangalore Junction Yeshwantpur is scheduled for a weekly special to take these coaches from Yeshwantpur on 10 July and to Mangalore Junction on 11 July.
