Union telecom minister Ashwini Vaishnav sent a forthright message to BSNL staff, warning that those who fail to perform to requirements will be compelled to retire and sent home.
The minister stated that MTNL has “no future.” “The future of MTNL is bleak. There’s little we can do. We are all aware of MTNL’s constraints and the troubles it faces. We’ll do a different exercise to figure out what the next measures should be “He stated.
Such poor upkeep, according to the minister, will not be overlooked, and heads will be rolled.
“The high command will be severed.” I’m being very specific. The top management will have to return home. People who work there, as well as their managers, are accountable. I’m being very specific.”
According to sources, the minister has instructed his staff to be intensely competitive now, particularly since they must compete for customers with top private companies such as Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel.
