The General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) prohibited all inbound flights from India to Dubai till further notice on April 24. This was the period when India was dealing with the virus’s devastating second wave. The embargo on foreign flights from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan has been extended till August 1 by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The limitations apply to all sorts of visas, meaning that citizens of these countries will have to wait longer to visit the UAE.
Because of the virus, Etihad Airlines, a UAE-based airline, has stopped flights from six countries, including India, until July 31. Exceptions were provided for UAE nationals, diplomats, and holders of the “Golden Visa”, and were allowed to enter Dubai. All they had to do was perform a PCT test at least 48 hours before the flight’s departure. Though Etihad has designated July 31 as the date for the restart of flights, the government has yet to announce a date. Expats should postpone their ticket plans, according to travel industry specialists. Some airlines are currently selling non-refundable tickets, but it is best to wait before making any flight reservations.
For both leisure and business travelers from India, Bangladesh, and other South Asian countries-Dubai is a popular destination. People in India asked that the flights on this route be reopened as the number of cases had decreased drastically.
