After strict lockdown in the entire state from April 27, Karnataka government has decided to start its Unlock 1.0 from June 20. The unlock process will be a great relief to a number of people as their livelihood has been affected due to the lockdown in the state. The relaxations will be strictly imposed following the SOPs like wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing.
District collector has made announcements regarding the rules for the unlock. Necessary items can be bought from 7.00 AM TO 1.00 PM from tomorrow. Food, groceries, fruit-vegetable, street vendors and liquor parcels are allowed till 1.00 PM. Night curfew will be present from 7.00 PM to 7.00 AM. The weekdays are from Monday 7.00 AM to Friday 7.00 PM. Weekend curfew will be enforced from Friday 7.00 PM till Monday 7.00 AM. There shall be no bus transportation throughout the districts. No public parks or any amusement activity are allowed. Permission for construction activity, steel and cement shops will remain open. Auto rickshaw and taxis will be available for commuters.
The new rules will be valid till July 5. Further relaxations will be announced depending on the existing situation of the pandemic after July 5. The state is looking forward to unlocking cautiously putting lives before livelihood.
