The Mangalore Runners Club & Canara Institutions unveiled the race day T-shirt and finisher’s medal for the 27-October, Niveus Mangalore marathon 2022, which will be held on November 6, 2022 at Mangala Stadium.
The main guests were MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and MLA Vedavyas Kamath, who, along with the other dignitaries on the dais Ranganath Bhat, honorary secretary of the Canara Association, Shishir Shetty, chief growth officer of Niveus Solutions, Jithesh Rai, Decathlon store manager, Prashant Shet, partner of S L Shet Jewellers, S Murugesh, senior manager-HR & Admin, KIOCL, Abhilash Dominic, race director of the Niveus Mangalore Marathon 2022, and Amitha D’Souza, president of the Mangalore unveiled the race day T-shirts and medals as well. The group was informed about the approaching event and the current status by Abhilash Dominic, race director.
There will be four different race distances—a half marathon, a 10K, a 5K, and a 2K Gammath Run—to accommodate runners of all skill levels, as structured for the same. While the event’s primary goal is to encourage healthy living, it also strives to establish Mangaluru as a major marathon city by being professionally organized each year.The goal is to make Mangaluru well-known worldwide and draw tourists to the area. Keeping with the organizers’ commitment for keeping Mangaluru clean, MRC has worked with TIPS workshops to make this event a zero-waste event.
MLA Vedavyas Kamath, was enthused in his speech and gave the MRC his full support in planning this marathon event. He urged the organizers to make this an annual event and expressed his and the district’s support for it.
Canara institutions, a sponsor of the event – had hosted this. Canara Institutions is a prominent company with a noble mission to produce educationally strong and culturally alive students for higher learning. They are proud of their illustrious past and reputation in educating students in a way that fosters moral character.This institutions is professionally handled by a group of selfless local dignitaries from Mangaluru and surrounding areas.
Amar, the MRC secretary, offered a statement of appreciation toward the end of the gathering to wrap things up. The dignitaries were thanked by Amar for their time and money donations to the event. The event’s master of ceremonies was Dr. Rashmi D’Souza.
