City Will Face Power Cuts For Three Days.

  Few places in Mangalore will face power cut on coming days, there will be no power on Tuesday from 10 am to 5 pm in Newfield Street, Car Street, Mahamayee Temple Road, Puthu Prabhu Lane, Corporation Bank, Gayathri Temple Road, Railway station Road, Noor Masjid Road, Old Bus stand, Hampanakatta, Sharavu Temple, Ashok Nagar, Dambel, Yenepoya Mills, Raymond Sawmill, Phalguni Nagar.

  Also, there will be no power on Wednesday from 10 am to 5 pm in Beluvai, Mantradi, Nellikaru, Valpadi, Panchara, Kesaru Gadde, Marnadu (Moodbidri); Santhekatte, Nejaru, Mooduthonse, Kodibengre, Badanidiyoor, Kote Road, Kallianpur, Milagres, Nidamballi (Udupi- Nittoor); 

  On Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm, there will be no power in Tenka, Yermalu, Nandikoor, Nadsalu, Hejamady, Padabettu, Yellur Village, Bada, Adve, Inna, KIADB 1&2, Industrial area, Kinnigoli, Balkunje, Kaup, Belapu and the surrounding areas.

Ashna Rai, a cadet from St. Aloysius PU College's NCC navy wing, was presented with a gold medal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for her participation in the annual NCC rally held in New Delhi on Saturday.   She had wanted to join the NCC since she was a young child. She joined the NCC when a student at Canara CBSE School's eighth grade level. Later, she kept working hard in the same field.   Ashna was chosen for the NCC rally because to her outstanding district and state performance. This accomplishment of Ashna at the NCC Rally is attributable to the cooperation shown by NCC cadets Anish Rahul, Atique D B, Roopith D'Souza, and Manish as well as the leadership of wing commander Chandan Garg and Allwyn Misquith. Ashna is the daughter of Akshatha Rai, a teacher, and Ramanna Rai, a businessman who lives in Kadri Kambla.

Class 10 student from Puttur chosen for PM Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha

Theja Chinmaya Holla, a class 10 student at a private school in Thenkila, will take part in the interactive Pariksha Pe Charcha programme on January 27 in New Delhi. In the programme, which will feature an interactive session with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, four kids from Karnataka will participate. Only Theja, a student from the taluk, is chosen to take part in the programme.
