The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has bagged another prestigius award of Swachh Bharath League given by union ministry for housing and urban affairs. This award is given to cities with population between three and ten lac.

In this competition, which was held under Swachh Bharath Abhiyan campaign, more than 1850 city and local bodies took part. This award is given to cities who are striving to realize the idea of waste free city.
