Age Limit For First Standard School Admissions Has Raised To 6 Years

The age limit for school admissions for first standard has raised to 6 years as of June 1st order passed by the Government of Karnataka.

Under the RTE Act 2009 and Compulsory Education Rules 2012, the minimum age for admission to the first standard has been fixed.

During the academic year 2016-17 under the RTE Act 2009 Section 12(1)(C), the minimum age for admission to LKG had been fixed between 3 years 10 months to 4 years 10 months and for the first standard it was fixed between 5 years 10 months to 6 years 10 months.
