District Minister: Swimming pools not to open for public till February in Mangaluru

District Minister Kota Shrinivas Poojari said that swimming pools in Mangaluru will not be opened for the public till February.

With the possibility of a second wave, the government is taking measures to prevent another outbreak. He has advised people not to panic and remain cautious because of the chance of a second wave. At the same time he has said that the decision to reopen the schools and colleges will be taken after analysing the situation further. Several other restrictions have been placed to minimise the possibilities of the spread of the virus. Restrictions have been placed for festivals, public meetings and religious events. Though the events that have already obtained permission can continue according to the regulations. 

He also added that districts will have war rooms to fight the pandemic. The district administration has been directed to reserve beds, ambulances and other facilities necessary in this situation to provide a wholesome health service for the public.
