For The First Time, Birth and Death Certificates Will Be Delivered By MCC

  For the first time in the state here at Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC), ​​birth and death certificates will be delivered to the home through postal services. Mayor Premananda Shetty launched the latest service on Monday, March 21.

  It is a joint initiation of the department of Post Mangaluru zone and MCC. The service will have features such as delivery to any location in India, with a fixed price of Rs 100 for an irrespective number of copies to any location and cash on delivery also available. Any family member can receive the certificate at the given address. The certificate will be printed by MCC within 3 to 30 days and will be delivered at the doorstep through speed post within 4 to 5 days of its printing.

  The service has vast benefits such as no need to visit the MCC office again to collect the certificate from faraway places, saves valuable time and money and working professionals need not take leave to collect certificates. The applicants will receive an SMS alert at all stages from booking to delivery. Speed post articles containing certificates can be tracked on the www.indiapost.gov.in website.

  Applicants can submit doorstep delivery request forms while applying for certificates at the MCC counter and there will be no extra payments while submitting certificates. Certificates will be generated by MCC and they will be dispatched through speed post by the Department of Post. One can pay a service fee of Rs 100 and receive the certificate at the doorstep.
