Home Minister: Towing vehicles is prohibited until new policy is set

Considering the physical and verbal assault of a differently-abled woman by a Bengaluru traffic cop, Karnataka Home Minister ordered to halt the towing of vehicles from no-parking zones in the city till a revised policy is developed.

The Home minister made the decision during a meeting on Wednesday with Director General of Police (DGP), Bengaluru City Police Commissioner , and Joint Commissioner (Traffic).The government has decided to halt towing of the vehicles until the new policy comes into action in the next 15 days  . Traffic police officials, on the other hand, will solely deal with vehicles stopped in no-parking zones.
