Persons traveling overseas for educational or work purposes, or as part of India’s contingent for the Tokyo Olympic Games, would need to have their CoWIN certificates linked to their passports for covid-19 immunization.
Furthermore, based on the recommendations of the National Expert Group on Vaccination Administration for Covid-19 (NEGVAC), the Covishield vaccine schedule under the National Covid-19 Vaccination Strategy is to deliver the second dosage after 28 days following the first dose for those traveling abroad.
Here’s how you link your passport to your CoWIN certificates.
- Login to https://selfregistration.cowin.gov.in/
- Click on the “Raise an Issue” button.
- Include passport information (Caution – Make no error as it cannot be rectified)
- Select the checkbox, I declare
- Submit
Your CoWIN certificates will be linked to your passport within 2 to 3 hours after submission.
