In partnership with the relevant institutions, boards, or universities, the India Post Mangaluru Division on Thursday inaugurated “Project Mangala,” under which the department would send various academic diplomas of students to one‘s doorsteps.
Project Mangala, the first of it’s kind in Karnataka, would be using speed post to deliver all types of academic records, including final semester grade reports and diploma/degree certificates, to students’ residence.
On Thursday, College in-charge Principal Girish Babu and Mangaluru Senior Superintendent of Posts N. Sriharsha, had also unveiled the project logo & officially inaugurated the service of distributing diploma certificates at Government Karnataka Polytechnic (KPT).
As per Mr. Sriharsha, India Post was prepared to transmit academic documents and had previously delivered millions of government documents. A few months after students leave the institution, printed copies of their final year/semester grade cards, degree/diploma certificates, etc., are sent to colleges. To get these documents, they must return to the institution. The brand-new programme aids students in avoiding such workout.
He claimed that the delivery address of the respective documents can vary from the one provided during the time of admission and that they might be sent elsewhere in India. Moreover, the document which would be issued by speed post within 5 days or less could be obtained by any family member. SMS notifications will also be sent to students at various points – from booking till delivery.
India Post has already made similar service proposals to PU Colleges and other organizations in the Mangaluru Division.
