The Karnataka Examination Authority has decided to begin the registration for the Karnataka Common Entrance test from today onwards. Students seeking admission to professional courses can now register through the official website.
An application fee of Rs.750 should be paid during the registration. The minister of Higher education had announced the exam schedule on June 8. The official statement says that the examinations will be held on August 28, 29 and 30 at more than 500 centres across the state.
Here’s how you can register for KCET.
- Visit the official website of KCET2021
- Once you’re in the page, click on the new user tab and get yourself registered.
- The register id and password will be sent to your registered email and phone. Make sure you save them for future reference.
- Proceed to the KCET 2021 application form and fill in all the necessary information.
- Upload your passport size photograph, signature, id proof and educational certificate in the specified format and size.
- Application fee needs to be paid online through net banking, debit or credit card. Candidates can also choose offline mode of payment provided they download the e-challan and pay at the branches of State Bank of India or ICICI Bank.
- Save a copy of the application form for further reference.
As the II PU exams were called off due to the pandemic, the admission to professional courses will be made only through the performance in KCET.
The examinations will be held in two shifts from 10:30AM-11:50AM and 2:30PM-3:50PM. The first paper will be biology and the last exam will be kannada for Gadinadu or Horanadu candidates.
The Primary and Secondary education minister suggested that since the PUC final examinations have been cancelled, KCET will be taken into consideration while admitting students for professional courses.
