From 28 June, Monday, the government of Karnataka agreed to enable marriage ceremonies to be held throughout the state. • From June 28, marriage ceremonies involving no more than 40 people will be permitted in restaurants, resorts, function halls, and other venues.
  • During the ceremony, participants must carefully adhere to Covid-appropriate behavior.
  • Those planning weddings must first get permission from the relevant local authority, i.e., the Joint Commissioner of the BBMP Zone in the BBMP region or the appropriate Tahsildar in the Taluks.
  • The responsible official must not issue more than 40 passes to each wedding function based on the names of the participants.
  • Only those who have passes will be allowed to attend the marriage ceremony, and the passes will not be transferable.
  • In the event of a breach or non-compliance with the aforementioned procedures during the marriage function, strict action will be taken against the marriage organizer/owner of the venue.
