An interesting service has been unveiled by the Indian Postal Service department, not to worry about tying rakhi to your long-distance sibling. Now anyone can send Rakhi to any part of India through speed post by sitting inside the comfort of their homes.
The scheme also has provision to send Rakhi’s to brothers and soldiers serving even in the border areas of Ladakh.
One needs to log on to www.karnatakapost.gov.in/Rakhi_Post and fill in details of the sender and select the design that needs to be delivered to the receiver.
There is a provision to select three types of printed messages or photo messages as per the choice of the sender. At the end there is a provision to write the address details of the receiver. This facility is available till August 6.
