Udupi – Students in School banned from playing outside from 11 am to 3 pm

The Udupi district administration and education department have taken precautionary measures to protect schoolchildren from the rising temperatures in coastal Karnataka. A circular has been issued banning children from playing in outdoor grounds between 11 am to 3 pm. The department has advised students to drink more water and avoid direct exposure to sunlight.

The department of public instruction has directed the Block Education Officers (BEOs) of the district to pass on these instructions to all schools. School heads, teachers, and parents have been advised to make arrangements for providing proper drinking water facilities for students. With examinations already underway, it is crucial to keep children hydrated. Additionally, mid-day meal staff have been instructed to ensure proper ventilation during the preparation of meals.
